If you don't know it yet, you should definitely give it a try: Mountain carting at Spitzingsee is a hit for anyone who finds lying on the beach too boring and pedaling uphill on a bike too strenuous.
Right at the mountain station, the rustic Jagahütt'n with its large sun terrace invites you to stop for a bite to eat.
A new playground with a ball track is currently being built at the mountain station for younger guests.
Mountain carts - downhill fun at Spitzingsee
With so-called mountain carts, a kind of go-cart for the mountains, you can speed downhill from the mountain station of the Stümpfling 4-seater chairlift over a distance of around 3.5 km. Of course, the focus is not only on fun, but also on safety. The construction of the mountain carts from Bad Aibling in Upper Bavaria is made of robust but lightweight aluminum. The low center of gravity and wide wheelbase ensure high driving stability. The modern design enables comfortable seating. The most important feature, however, is the unique hydraulic dual-circuit disc brake system, which provides excellent control of the cart at all times and is extremely smooth-running.
At Spitzingsee, the Stümpfling 4-seater chairlift takes you comfortably uphill. The mountain cart hire station is located directly at the mountain station.

- Children over 1.35 m tall may drive a mountain cart themselves, but must be accompanied by an adult with parental authority
- Children are not allowed to ride on your lap/on the cart, the carts are only designed for 1 person

- acc. According to the manufacturer, the carts are only designed for a maximum body weight of 100 kg
- Rental only against valid identity card or similar.
- Last mountain cart rental 16:00 at the valley station.
- Reservations can be made in writing in advance for groups of 10 people or more
- The mountain cart track opens and closes with the summer operation of the Stümpfling chairlift.
Tip:
The mountain carts can be booked for company events, group or club events with a minimum of 10 people.
On weekends, public vacations and during Bavarian vacations, mountain cart reservations are only possible until 10:30 am. Maximum reservation time for mountain carts is 30 minutes!
